Just finished “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini. 
I had avoided this book for a longgg time due to the fact I could just TELL, It was going to be profoundly sad. And it was. The whole book was devastating, but it ended well. With hope. It was just a hard read, due to its realistic nature and setting in Afghanistan. The before and after seen through one mans life.
But I highly recommend it because anything I read now sounds like a toddler wrote it in comparison.
